Wednesday, March 31,
2004
at the Robica St. Marys
Manufacturing Facility
Attendees:
| Tony Winter | Mayor of St. Marys |
| Ron McKay | Reeve of Perth South |
| Dave Coleman | General Manager of Hutton Transport |
| Monica Nothof | CEO, Robica |
| Bob Nothof | General Manager of Robica |

This was certainly a special event for Robica! The first Dry Bulk Trailer off the assembly line! Bob Nothof, General Manager of Robica Forman Tank, in his address to the staff & visitors, expressed his feelings this way:
"This is the next phase and launch of a new product line for Robica, and the launch of a potential, new, local business relationship. Its especially gratifying that Hutton Transport and St Marys Cement have demonstrated their confidence in a small, locally-owned, family business."
|
Dave Coleman, General Manager of Hutton Transport was pleased to accept the new trailer's registration and Owner's Manual:
Robica plans to manufacture between 20 and 30 of the dry bulk tankers annually. Bob Nothof explained:
The 1,800 cubic-foot tankers can also be used to transport plastics, various food products, flour and sugar. |
The Dry Bulk Tankers are one of two new products from Robica in 2004. The other is the petroleum B-Train -- two tankers hitched together, which was launched April 22, 2004 at Truck World 2004 (check out the Page for pictures!) Robica is now entering the highway trailer market. The new product lines are also an excellent example of rural ecomomic development. Robica expects to create 15 - 20 new jobs. Bob said: "It's new business, it's new jobs, it's new everything!" |

"On behalf of Perth South, we congratulate Robica on launching their new product. And congratulations to Robica and all the workers who helped bring this wonderful-looking product..." |
"This new product line is going to take the St Marys name far and wide across this province and beyond!" |
